Benevolence policy
How the church helps members in need.
The policy exists to glorify Christ by sharing His love in a physical way with members of our congregation.
Who qualifies
Benevolence assistance will be given to any member of The Ocean International Community Church who meets the requirements, when it is determined that the member is truly in need.
Confidentiality
All matters shared and disclosed by the applicant will remain within the Benevolence Committee, which is made up of deacons, pastors and members of the leadership team. The committee may share personal information with appropriate people outside it, such as the Lead Pastor or specific financial, family or spiritual counselors, when it is in the best interest of the member.
How to ask for help
- 01
Ask the church office for the Benevolence Request Form, fill it in, and hand it in with any supporting documents.
- 02
Members must ask for help for themselves, and not send other members in their place.
- 03
The committee will review the request and then contact you. During the review the committee may contact utility companies, landlords or others to verify the request.
- 04
Records are kept for every case and handled in confidence.
The request form is at the church office
Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 4pm
